Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic Radiology Speciality Doctor to join our dedicated Radiology team at NHS Dumfries and Galloway. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-quality imaging service within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
You will join a small team and be willing to provide cross-cover when needed, actively contributing to maintaining service continuity. Flexibility and adaptability are essential, particularly in responding to short-notice changes in schedules or workload. We value openness, a willingness to help, and a positive attitude that fosters a cooperative and resilient team dynamic.
You will work with a complement of Radiologists, Advance Practitioner Radiographers, Radiographers, Sonographers, Nurses and Administrative support staff at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary (DGRI). The department benefits from an established outsourcing arrangement for overnight on-call service, ensuring a sustainable and balanced workload for the team.
Responsibilities
You will provide a broad range of diagnostic radiology services, sharing workload across CT, MRI, ultrasound, and plain film reporting. Subspecialty interests are welcomed. You will work closely with colleagues across multiple specialties, contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings, and support the education of junior doctors. Qualifications and requirements
