Location: Aylesbury
Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm, with flexibility required around working hours.
On-call responsibilities approximately one week per month.

About us:
Located in Aylesbury, Kent House is a specialist residential centre providing ongoing rehabilitation and dedicated care for individuals with acquired brain injury (ABI). It is part of Brainkind's nationwide network of rehabilitation services.
Main Purpose:
* To be a flexible member of the management team, ensuring effective coordination of services within the location.
* To assist in managing a multidisciplinary workforce, ensuring adherence to Brainkind policies, procedures, and values, while considering regulations and outcomes related to registered services. This may include registered manager responsibilities.
* To ensure the care and support provided to each person is of the highest quality, meeting individual needs sensitively, and enabling individuals to maximize their potential.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Provide professional leadership, hands-on management support, and guidance, influencing staff practices and attitudes.
* Line management responsibility for a team of staff, which may include Team Leaders, as directed by the line manager and in accordance with Brainkind policies.
* Assist and support the Service/Area Manager in setting and monitoring budgets, including capital and revenue for the location.
* Support effective staff rotas, ensuring contractual and personal objectives are met.
* Engage with local authority representatives, staff, clinicians, families, and other stakeholders to promote a multidisciplinary approach to service delivery. This may require working evenings and weekends occasionally.
* Participate in the on-call rota.
* Support the Service/Area Manager in staff recruitment, focusing on attitudes and values aligned with Brainkind's ethos.
* Ensure staff receive supervision and personal development reviews to promote learning and growth.
* Ensure all individuals receive appropriate assessments, support plans, person-centered plans, and reviews.
* Maintain compliance with the Essential Standards of Quality and Safety, meeting the requirements of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and CQC regulations.
About You:
* QCF (NVQ) Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification; a willingness to work towards this qualification may be considered.
* Knowledge of high-quality service provision and relevant experience.
* Understanding of statutory requirements such as CQC regulations and outcomes.
* Experience in managing and guiding junior staff through formal supervision and appraisals.
* Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
* Problem-solving skills, initiative, and flexibility in approach.
