Band 7 Pharmacists ECMS Medical Specialties
(1 Post) Permanent | Full Time (37 hours/week)
We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced pharmacists to join our forward-thinking medical pharmacy team at Glasgow Royal Infirmary (GRI). These permanent Band 7 posts offer an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred pharmaceutical care within a dynamic and supportive environment.
As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert pharmaceutical input to a diverse range of medical patients, many with complex care needs. GRI is one of the largest acute hospitals in the UK, renowned for its commitment to clinical excellence and service modernisation. You will have the chance to develop your skills across a variety of medical specialties, including:
1. Respiratory
2. Gastroenterology
3. Rheumatology
4. Endocrinology
5. Cardiology
6. Acute medical receiving
7. Medical High Dependency Unit (MHDU)
Essential Requirements:
8. Masters Degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent)
9. Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
10. Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) in line with GPhC standards
11. Completion of training or demonstrated competency aligned with the RPS Post-registration Foundation Pharmacist Curriculum
Desirable:
12. Independent prescribing qualification
These full-time posts are worked Monday to Friday, with participation in weekend, public holiday, extended hours, and on-call rotas as required.
