Overview
We’re hiring a Community Producer to support the Peterborough Presents team over the next 12 months, working with residents in Welland and Peterborough to co-commission bespoke creative programmes and support the wider PP programme.
Responsibilities
* Lead on working with a specific community to create new bespoke creative programmes and support the wider Peterborough Presents programme.
* Engage the community to understand their skills, stories, needs and ambitions to shape new programmes.
* Recruit and support community commissioning panels to shape and co-commission arts programmes.
* Work with communities and commissioned artists/creatives to project manage programmes, including organising events and workshops.
* Collaborate with the wider team on marketing and evaluation.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Experience as a community producer with ability to lead development of new creative programmes in Welland, Peterborough.
* Ability to engage diverse communities; commitment to inclusive and equitable practice.
* Willingness to work some evenings and weekends; part-time role of 18.75 hours per week for 12 months.
* Ability to work with partners such as Family Action, Woodfield Park Community Centre, National Literacy Trust.
Employment details
Contract through Peterborough Presents host organisation, Nene Park Trust. 18.75 hours per week for 12 months, starting asap. 33 days of annual leave pro rata (including Bank Holidays). Pension and health benefits via NPT. Office location: based at Peterborough Museum for approximately 5–6 months; longer-term location to be confirmed. Flexible home-working with a preference for at least 60% time in the PP office.
