Shift
Shift: 4 week Rotating Schedule
(plus two flexible floating shifts every 4 weeks. Engineering operates a 24/6 cover, working on 3 days on 4 days off rota with banked hours principle.)
Role
As a Project Engineer, you will provide a full engineering support service to all areas of the business, aiming to minimise machine and equipment downtime and maximise preventative maintenance.
Key focus areas
* Prevent manufacturing lost time
* Achievement of the Preventative Maintenance Plan
* To be audit ready at all times – relevant paperwork and quality audits completed
* To be generating continuous improvement ideas
* You will have experience of working as a Maintenance Engineer within a production environment - preferably food processing, and will be able to demonstrate an understanding of manufacturing processes.
* You'll need to use both your electrical and mechanical engineering experience in this role. You'll be a used to planning PPM, and you'll understand the importance of this.
* As you'd expect, there will also be reactive work, so you'll need to be adaptable - a natural, hands on problem solver will thrive in this role.
* You'll be comfortable recording reports and work logs onto our system - so computer literacy is also important.
Experience
Ideally you will have (or be working towards) one of the following qualifications:
* BTECH/ONC qualification as a minimum in either Electrical or Mechanical discipline
* Multi skilled engineering qualification
* C&G 2330 Level 3 Electro – technical certificate combined with NVQ 3 Electrical Maintenance Time served apprentice Multi-skilled Engineer
* HNC level in electrical, mechanical or production maintenance engineering
