Engineering Lead

Method Resourcing have proudly partnered with a cutting-edge health & fitness tech company that's transforming the way people train - and they're looking for an Engineering Lead to join the team and play a pivotal role in driving technical success.
We're looking for a hands-on technical leader to partner with cross-functional product teams, shape the architecture of the mobile ecosystem, raise the bar for engineering quality, and drive the delivery of innovative features across iOS (React Native), Android (React Native), Apple Watch, and third-party integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
Set the technical direction - Shape the architecture and long-term tech vision across multiple product teams, building solutions that are scalable, secure, and built to last.
Lead from the front - Get hands-on when needed to design, build, test, and ship features across the mobile stack, backend services, and third-party integrations.
Partner for the best solutions - Work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering leadership to deliver great user experiences while balancing speed, quality, and long-term sustainability.
Unblock and connect - Keep squads in sync, resolve dependencies, and ensure cross-team collaboration feels effortless.
Boost developer velocity - Champion improvements to CI/CD, tooling, and internal workflows to streamline delivery and reduce friction.
Oversee smooth releases - Guide the release process to enable continuous, reliable deployment, so teams can ship confidently and independently.
Required Skills/Experience:
Strong in software development, with significant experience guiding technical direction, managing engineering efforts, and delivering projects from concept to launch.
Full-stack fluency - Deep knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript and confidence working across the stack to solve complex technical challenges.
Mobile architecture pro - A history of architecting and delivering large-scale React Native mobile apps that have gone live and scaled in production.
Cloud-savvy - Strong background in AWS, ideally with hands-on experience in serverless technologies like Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and AppSync.
End-to-end ownership - Comfortable taking features from high-level design through implementation, testing, release, and ongoing production support.
