Job Description
3. Create precise sales invoices by gathering and verifying data according to invoicing schedules.
4. Match recorded support hours with contract terms to ensure accurate billing.
5. Collaborate with Locality Managers weekly to confirm hours of support provided for correct invoicing.
6. Address and resolve billing and payment issues with Local Authorities and internal stakeholders.
7. Maintain high accuracy of contract information within the management system.
8. Utilise digital tools like Microsoft Excel and SharePoint to enhance finance process efficiency.
9. Contribute to the documentation and ongoing improvement of income operation procedures.
10. Perform credit control tasks in line with organisational policies to ensure timely debt collection.
11. Keep the sales ledger's outstanding days to an average of 25 days.
12. Accurately allocate and match incoming payments to minimise discrepancies.
13. Complete month-end closing tasks within 2 working days to support accurate financial reporting.
14. Assist in preparing monthly and year-end financial reports by providing precise income-related data.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Finance Officer should have:
15. AAT qualifications are preferable, or similar.
16. Proven experience in a finance role within a not-for-profit organisation
17. Strong knowledge of financial regulations and legislation
18. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
19. Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
20. A strategic mindset and problem-solving skills
