Strategic Communications Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to manage all external affairs, focusing on strategic communications aligned with our mission and objectives. This role involves overseeing crisis communications, ensuring the organization responds effectively and maintains public trust in challenging situations.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in policy development and influencing at devolved and national government level, public affairs and stakeholder management, managing strategic partnerships, corporate communications, line management, and crisis communications management. Additionally, they should hold a driving license and have access to transport.
Prioritizing horizon scanning, media relations, project management, and providing expert advice to senior colleagues would be highly desirable skills for this role.
This pivotal position plays a key role in the Marketing and Communications team, reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications. The team manages marketing, fundraising communications, external affairs, policy development, public affairs, and internal communications. As a Strategic Communications Specialist, you will work closely with internal stakeholders, supporting crisis management and managing communications effectively.
