Level 4 Teaching Assistant
Location: Hull
Salary: £99 – £125 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking experienced Level 4 Teaching Assistants to join schools in Hull. This role is ideal for someone who wants to make a meaningful impact on children’s learning and development.
As a Level 4 Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to support pupils across a variety of subjects and activities. You will help create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment, assist with learning activities, and contribute to both academic and personal development.
Level 4 Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
* Provide support to pupils in the classroom and in small groups.
* Assist teachers in delivering lessons and classroom activities.
* Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage positive engagement.
* Prepare and organise resources to support learning.
* Monitor pupil progress and report observations to teaching staff.
* Support pupils during breaks, lunchtimes, and non-classroom activities.
* Encourage independence, confidence, and participation in learning.
* Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to meet pupil needs.
* Assist with planning and delivery of targeted learning activities.
* Support extracurricular activities and school trips as required.
Requirements for a Level 4 Teaching Assistant (Level 4 TA):
* Experience working in a UK primary or secondary school as a Level 4 Teaching Assistant or HLTA.
* Relevant Level 4 qualification or equivalent experience.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to support pupils across a range of abilities.
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
