Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a candidate to join the team within the Hergest Unit. The Receptionist/Clerical Officer role will be worked as part of a team to provide clerical support and reception duties to the department Monday through to Friday. The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post.
Main duties of the job
* To ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times.
* Provide a friendly and comprehensive reception service to all staff and patients visiting the department.
* Undertake efficient reception duties, e.g. answering the phone and receiving people at the reception desk.
* Deal efficiently and courteously with colleagues and all visitors at all times as per departmental standards.
* Assist with general clerical duties, including distributing incoming mail.
* Input data onto relevant databases, collate and distribute clinic lists effectively, liaising with secretaries and other administration staff. Provide an excellent communication system between relevant personnel regarding any alterations or additions to clinic lists; this may include the booking of emergencies.
* Print and distribute clinic lists in a timely manner.
* Liaise with the nursing and medical teams within the department to help maintain patient flow.
