As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Sales Manager to join our growing team.
The Role
This is a key position within our business, responsible for driving revenue growth, developing new business opportunities, and strengthening relationships with existing clients. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our commercial strategy and representing AGFS in the marketplace. The ideal candidate will be ambitious, proactive, and confident in building long-term partnerships within the freight and logistics sector.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify, pursue, and secure new business across air, sea, road and express logistics services
* Develop and execute a targeted sales strategy to meet and exceed revenue and margin goals
* Manage and grow existing customer accounts, ensuring exceptional service delivery and retention
* Prepare and deliver client proposals, presentations, and bids
* Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities and competitor activity
* Collaborate closely with operations, customer service, and management teams to ensure seamless service fulfilment
* Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasting pipeline activity and reporting to senior leadership
* Represent AGFS at industry events, networking opportunities, and client meetings
Skills & Experience
* Proven track record in freight forwarding, logistics, or transport sales (essential)
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate at all levels
* Established network of industry contacts (advantageous)
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* Able to work independently and manage your own sales pipeline
* Results-driven mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
* Good IT literacy, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office
