Maintenance Electrician / Electrical Maintenance Engineer Location: DudleySalary: Circa £36,000 basic + overtime (OTE significantly higher)Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent | Weekly PaidShift Pattern: Shift Pattern (40 Hours Per Week) Week 1: Mon–Fri | 6:00am – 2:00pmWeek 2: Mon–Thurs | 8:00pm – 6:00amWeek 3: Mon–Thurs | 2:00pm – 12:00am The Opportunity Our client, a well-established heavy industrial manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join their engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced production environment, offering strong earning potential through overtime and shift allowances.You will work as part of a 2-person team alongside a Mechanical Fitter, covering planned preventative maintenance, reactive breakdowns, and installation work across factory and process machinery. Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs
* Install and maintain factory and process machinery
* Fault finding on 415V, 240V, 110V, and 24VAC/DC systems
* Interpret and work from electrical circuit diagrams
* PLC fault finding (I/O checks – no programming required)
* Diagnose faults on overhead cranes (OHCs), remote handsets, contactors, and fuses
* Maintain and upgrade high bay lighting (including LED conversions)
* Test emergency lighting and evacuation alarm systems
* Assist with control panel building and basic CCT design
* Complete shift reports and ensure all work is carried out safely and professionally
Candidate Requirements
* Completed Apprenticeship / Time Served (preferred)
* NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Maintenance or equivalent
* 18th Edition IEE Regulations (preferred but not essential)
* Experience within a heavy industrial environment
* Experience with slitting/decoiling machinery (advantageous)
* Full UK Driving Licence (preferred but not essential)
