Special Projects - Business Development Manager In this role you will be a vital member of the Special Projects Team who are responsible for looking after customers with a national requirement for painting and decorating. The Opportunity: We are currently seeking an additional talented and driven Business Development Manager to join our Special Projects team, building on the success of our unique position in the marketplace. In this role, you will be at the forefront of identifying and securing new business opportunities, particularly focusing on specialised projects that demand innovative solutions and exceptional attention to detail as well as building strong, long term customer relationships. The special projects team are based at our new head office complex in Cleckheaton, with excellent motorway links. This role will require national travel as you build relationships with customers across the country. A company car will be provided. This is advertised as a full-time role however we are open to Hybrid working and flexible hours to suit you as long as there is a commitment to spend some of your time at the office. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategic plans to expand our presence nationally for special projects. Identify and cultivate relationships with new customers from a wide range of commercial and industrial settings. Collaborate closely with our management teams to ensure seamless execution from initial contact through project completion. Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and innovation. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to showcase our capabilities and solutions to prospective clients. Track and analyse sales performance metrics to assess progress toward goals and identify areas for improvement. Essential Criteria: Proven track record of success in business development, with experience in the construction or painting and decorating industry preferred. Ability to sell the services of a national painting and decorating contractor. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and colleagues. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively to identify and pursue new business opportunities. Managing customers with a national portfolio of property/buildings Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
