As a Shift Leader you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering a fast‑paced retail experience for customers, coordinating the store team, ensuring safety, and maintaining a clean, well‑stocked environment. We value enthusiasm, flexibility, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic setting.

Compensation
Our Shift Leader rate of pay starts from £15.59 an hour, with additional payments possible depending on location.
Availability window (required)
You must be available to work during the following periods:
* Mon – 04:00–12:00
* Wed – 13:00–21:00
* Thu – 10:00–18:00
* Fri – 16:00–24:00
* Sat – 16:00–20:00
Responsibilities
* Work in a fast‑paced retail environment, managing a range of customer needs.
* Take ownership of running duty shifts, coordinating the team to deliver a clean, well‑stocked store that exceeds customer expectations.
* Provide excellent customer service, listening to shoppers and ensuring they leave the store satisfied.
* Identify opportunities to improve service, coach and give feedback to colleagues, and maintain a safe working environment.
* Support managers in delivering actions that enhance store performance and community events.
* Serve as the go‑to person for day‑to‑day queries when a manager is absent, ensuring continuity of service and safety.
* Maintain a positive team atmosphere, recognise and celebrate great service, and keep the team informed of updates.
* Follow health and safety routines and procedures, and encourage colleagues to do the same.
* Coordinate store improvements and remove obstacles to effective service delivery.
Requirements and Eligibility
* You must be 18 years of age or older.
* For roles requiring work before 06:15 am, after 21:45 pm, or involving specific areas such as the warehouse, beer, wine and spirit departments, the age requirement is 18 and above.
* Availability to work the minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week (flexible to 12 hours based on need). You must be willing to work within the availability window detailed above.
