Cover Supervisor
Location: Sutton Coldfield, Secondary School
Start date: Summer term 2026
Pay Rate: £95- 120
About the role:
Can you walk into a classroom, take control and keep students on track?
We’re looking for confident, resilient Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in the Sutton Coldfield area. This role is ideal for individuals who are strong on behaviour management and can quickly establish authority in the classroom.
You’ll be stepping into lessons in the absence of the teacher, delivering pre-set work and, most importantly, ensuring students remain focused, engaged and respectful. Schools are looking for someone who can set clear expectations, manage behaviour effectively and create a calm, controlled learning environment.
This isn’t a passive role you’ll need to be proactive, confident and comfortable managing a range of behaviours across different year groups.
What you’ll be doing:
Leading classes independently using pre-planned work
Managing behaviour and maintaining discipline in line with school policies
Keeping students on task and minimising disruption
Adapting quickly to different classrooms and school settings
We’re looking for someone who:
Has strong behaviour management and a confident classroom presence
Can build respect quickly and set clear boundaries
Is calm under pressure and consistent in their approach
Has experience working with young people (schools, coaching or mentoring)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
