Main Accountabilities:
1. Site planning: Plans on-site project activities related to the assigned discipline with the Site Manager or Site Construction Manager, including necessary local resources, equipment, and milestones. Coordinates agreements between customers and external resources on installation/construction targets, health and safety requirements, site organization, and policy.
2. Site coordination and monitoring: Responsible for coordinating all on-site activities related to the assigned discipline from receiving the site area from the customer or Project Manager to handover, ensuring successful execution of start-up, installation/construction, erection, testing, and commissioning activities in line with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements.
3. Stakeholder relations: Acts as a project representative by building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and other local organizations.
4. Health, safety, environment (HSE), and project security: Ensures a detailed and up-to-date construction H&S plan is in place for each work package, compliant with company policies. Promotes health and safety considerations among project partners and is empowered to suspend activities in case of HSE violations.
5. Equipment handling and logistics: Ensures correct handling, storage, and installation of delivered equipment, coordinating on-site storage and shipment logistics for timely delivery.
6. Sub-contractors: Manages on-site sub-contractors hired by ABB to ensure quality and progress meet standards and delivery deadlines.
7. Site cost management: Controls project costs for site work, monitors expenditures, estimates final costs, manages petty cash, and handles local purchasing within delegated authority.
8. Documentation: Maintains updated documentation, manages the document handling system, and ensures the use of latest revisions for construction work.
9. People leadership and development: Ensures proper organization, staffing, and skill development of the team, guides and motivates staff, and manages site facilities and logistics.
Summary:
Supervises a team in executing tasks within an assigned area, coordinates work assignments, and conducts performance reviews. Candidates should have several years of experience as a Site Supervisor, with expertise in Site Management, HSE, Environment, Quality Assurance & Control, Installation Works, and basic knowledge of Commissioning and Civil Works.
