Deputy Security Manager
Salary: Up to £65,000 + annual bonus
Location: Capenhurst, Chester
Hybrid working: 3 days in Capenhurst, 2 days remote
Our client, a leading nuclear technology company, are recruiting for a Deputy Security Manager to join their business based in Capenhurst, Chester.
Within this role, you will support the Security Manager to ensure business operations are compliant with national and international law, regulations and requirements.
Key Accountabilities:
Ensure the business operates in a manner that is compliant with national and international law, regulations and requirements
Ensure the business operates in a manner that complies with company security policies
Report to the Senior Information Risk Owner and the Head of Group Security any security failure of compliance and if required report to the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) Civil Nuclear Security (CNS)
Maintain close links with the Office for Nuclear Regulation and act as the interface between them and the business
Produce written security reports, instructions and procedures
Provide security education and training to company employees, contractors and suppliers
Coordinate the provision of externally provided security services to the business e.g. guarding services
Coordinate the physical security of company buildings and their contents
Coordinate the cyber security of any UK based elements of Information Communication Technology
Carry out security inspections and audits of sites and any UK based location where business interests are handled
Coordinate the process to obtain and maintain security clearances issued by the Office for Nuclear Regulation for employees, contractors and suppliers
Coordinate the process of controlling access to information and material based around security clearances issued by the Office for Nuclear Regulation or their equivalent Government bodies located in countries where the company operates
Attend specialist training courses which includes those ran by the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure
Close liaison with Security Managers, Export Control officers and Safeguards Managers that are based internationally at other sites
Coordination of Export Controls to ensure compliance with national and international standards
Coordinate Nuclear Safeguards to ensure compliance with International Atomic Energy Agency and Euratom standards
Coordinate European Commission compliance regulations relevant to the business
Experience & Qualifications:
Good quality Degree
At least 3 years' experience in a Security role with a working knowledge of UK national security standards, preferably in the Nuclear industry
Proven history in all security disciplines including Physical, Personnel, Document and IT security
Excellent communication & influencing skills including experience of providing training
Effective team working, influencing multifunctional and multicultural interfaces
Forward thinking and confident in identifying and implementing changes
Flexibility and willingness to travel to other sites
