Overview The Business Analyst is responsible for identifying business needs and opportunities for improvement through effective analysis, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration. The role bridges the gap between business and technology teams, ensuring that solutions align with business goals and deliver measurable value. Responsibilities Work with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements. Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories. Facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings to understand current and future processes. Map and model business processes (As-Is and To-Be). Collaborate with technical teams to ensure requirements are accurately implemented. Support testing activities by reviewing test cases, validating functionality, and assisting in UAT. Contribute to project planning, scoping, and prioritisation efforts. Track and manage change requests and support impact analysis. Produce clear and concise documentation including BRDs, functional specs, user stories, and process flows. Act as a liaison between business units and IT throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field. Certification such as CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA. Essential skills Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies (e.g., BABOK, Agile, Waterfall). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with BPMN or UML modeling standards. Knowledge of project management and software development lifecycles. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
