Pencoedtre High School is seeking to appoint a well motivated Caretaker with outstanding interpersonal and organisational skills, as well as the flexibility to adapt to the challenges of the school day. You will work as part of a Site Team under the direction of the Site Supervisor. In addition to general caretaking duties, you will be ensuring that the premises are safe for pupils, staff and visitors, undertaking health and safety checks, including the testing of fire alarms and sprinkler systems, water temperature checks and equipment tests, such as but not limited to fire fighting equipment and emergency lighting.
This role is temporary until 31 August 2026, in the first instance.
The hours of work are 6am – 2pm week 1 and 11am – 7pm week 2 – though these hours are likely to change from September 2026 to 6am – 2pm week 1 and 1.30pm – 9.30pm week 2
