Your New Job
As a SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, differentiated teaching to small groups of students withplex needs. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that support both academic and personal development, using a range of specialist strategies including sensory integration, visual support, and communication aids such as PECS and Makaton. You will work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure each pupil’s Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) objectives are met. The role requires a flexible, creative, and passionate approach, with a strong emphasis on building positive relationships and promoting student well-being.
What You'll Need to Succeed
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience teaching students with SEND, particularly those withplex needs
* Knowledge of strategies such as TEACCH, PECS, Makaton, and sensory-based approaches
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A commitment to inclusive education and personalised learning
* Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
