At Nuffield Health Haywards Heath Hospital, our Endoscopy Unit is committed to delivering exceptional, patient‑centred care. As a Endoscopy Practitioner (RGN/ODP), you will work flexibly on an ad‑hoc basis, supporting a variety of endoscopic procedures within our well‑equipped theatre environment. Your clinical expertise, professionalism and compassionate approach will help us maintain the highest standards of safety and quality.
You will be registered with the appropriate governing body (NMC or HCPC) and bring relevant post‑registration experience, ideally within an endoscopy setting.
As a Bank Endoscopy Practitioner (RGN/ODP) you will:
Support and assist Consultants during a range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
Deliver high‑quality perioperative care within a multidisciplinary clinical environment.
Work across varied caseloads using state‑of‑the‑art endoscopy stacks, scopes and equipment.
Undertake pre‑operative assessments where required.
Act as a role model by supporting, supervising and developing junior team members.
Communicate effectively to ensure seamless teamwork and coordination across departments.
Deliver care that is clinically effective, evidence‑based and truly patient‑centred.
Ensure continuity of care by collaborating with ward colleagues and other clinical departments.
Contribute to maintaining a safe, welcoming and high‑performing clinical environment.
About You
You will be:
Registered with the NMC (Registered Nurse) or HCPC (Operating Department Practitioner).
Experienced in endoscopy within a post‑registration role.
Flexible, motivated and able to work autonomously.
A strong communicator with excellent teamwork skills.
Detail‑oriented, calm under pressure and passionate about patient‑centred care.
