Junior Mechanical Building Services Engineer – North Bristol – Salary: Competitive (depending on experience) – Full-time | Permanent | Hybrid Working Available
An established building services engineering consultancy based in North Bristol is seeking a Junior Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join its growing team. This role is ideal for someone with 1-3 years' experience within mechanical building services design who is looking to further develop their career within a supportive consultancy environment. You will assist in the delivery of mechanical design solutions across a variety of building projects, including both new build and refurbishment schemes across the UK.
Responsibilities
* Assist with mechanical building services design across a range of projects
* Support senior engineers in delivering projects across RIBA work stages
* Produce technical calculations, drawings and design documentation
* Work alongside architects, structural engineers and contractors
* Assist with site visits, surveys and commissioning activities
* Contribute to the development of energy-efficient and sustainable engineering solutions
Requirements
* 1-3 years' experience within mechanical building services design
* Experience working within a building services consultancy or engineering environment
* Understanding of HVAC systems, ventilation, heating and cooling design
* Basic knowledge of UK building regulations and RIBA work stages
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
* IESVE or similar building performance modelling tools
* Degree, HND or HNC in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
