Role Summary
We are looking for a strategic and commercially minded Senior Conference Producer to join our growing events team. This is a critical role responsible for shaping compelling, relevant, and innovative conference agendas for our private capital events portfolio. You will conduct thorough market research, build relationships with key market participants, liaise with sponsors, and work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure the highest quality content and speaker line-ups.
As Senior Producer, you will own the end-to-end content development process—from concept through to delivery—and play a key role in maintaining the editorial integrity and commercial value of our events.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct in-depth market research to identify industry trends, hot topics, and key issues impacting the private capital sector
* Develop compelling, content-rich agendas tailored to the needs and interests of senior professionals in the industry
* Identify, approach, and secure high-calibre speakers, including C-level executives and thought leaders
* Work closely with sponsors, understanding their goals and aligning their speakers within the agenda appropriately without compromising editorial integrity
* Lead kick-off meetings, presenting the agenda to internal stakeholders including marketing, sales, logistics, and editorial teams
* Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to:
* Brief marketing teams for accurate audience targeting and promotional messaging
* Coordinate with sales to ensure content supports commercial objectives
* Liaise with logistics to ensure smooth speaker management and session planning
* Align with editorial for thematic consistency across platforms
* Maintain regular communication with speakers and sponsors to ensure preparedness and engagement
* Ensure content is delivered on time, on budget, and in line with event timelines
* Attend events onsite and oversee speaker management, session delivery, and live content execution
* Analyse post-event feedback and performance metrics to continuously improve content strategy and delivery
* Research and validate new event ideas and contribute to the strategic development of The Drawdown brand
Skills and Experience Required
* 3–5+ years of experience as a conference producer, preferably within financial services, private equity, or a B2B event environment
* Strong understanding of content development and the ability to translate complex market trends into engaging agenda topics
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior industry stakeholders
* Experience conducting high-level industry research and engaging senior executives
* Comfortable holding calls with sponsors and managing their expectations diplomatically
* Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
* Confident presenter with the ability to lead internal meetings and briefings
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, managing multiple projects simultaneously
* Commercially minded, with a deep appreciation of both content quality and event ROI
