Salary: £45,636-£57,937 + call out standby retainer & company van.

City Energy Solutions (CES) is a rapidly growing business generating electricity and providing heat directly to customers' homes via district heating networks. We are seeking 2 Maintenance Engineers to join our CES team in the Southwest. Responsibilities include plant room maintenance, mechanical and electrical issues impacting our District Heating Network (DHN), and communal heating schemes across Southwest England and potentially other UK areas.
The goal is to minimize unplanned outages, enhance asset performance, and identify major costs early for business planning. This role offers an exciting opportunity within a diverse range of operational assets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform plumbing and heating work (HVAC).
2. Monitor energy centre and heat substation plant.
3. Follow correct working processes and record visit information accurately.
4. Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, including PPE.
5. Meet performance measures and KPIs set by management.
6. Support other teams to deliver services to CES customers.
Candidate Requirements
* NVQ Level 2/3 (or equivalent) in plumbing, heating, mechanical, or electrical work with strong experience.
* Clean UK driving license.
* Proficiency with IT systems, risk assessments, procedures, and processes.
* Ability to innovate and challenge existing processes to improve plant performance.
* Contribute to site development through best practices and commercial improvements.
* Achieve E.ON’s competency levels, including SSOW and CSE.
* Flexibility to participate in out-of-hours call-out rota.
Preferred Skills
* Experience with domestic gas boilers and relevant gas safety registration.
* Experience with District Heating Networks.
* Experience with large heat generation plants (CHP, Biomass).

This role requires coverage of an out-of-hours call-out rota from 5pm to 8am on weekdays and weekends.
