Job Description:
We are seeking a Teaching Assistant to support children with mental health needs at an inclusive specialist school in Bath. The role involves working with young people aged 8 to 18 who have social, emotional, and behavioural challenges, including trauma and developmental needs.
The ideal candidate may be a graduate in Psychology, Counselling, Criminology, or have relevant experience working with SEN children or adults. Qualifications of Level 3 or higher, including a degree, are preferred.
This full-time position offers an ASAP start, with a daily rate of £90-£100, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4 pm. The role provides frontline experience working alongside therapists and psychologists, supporting individual wellbeing and development, and gaining insight into conditions like Autism and ADHD.
Key responsibilities include supporting children’s emotional and behavioural needs, promoting their personal development, and working proactively in a challenging environment. Resilience, adaptability, and confidence are desirable qualities.
