The Role: This position is responsible for supporting the delivery of the Bluewater annual marketing strategy through media, social media, PR, events /promotions that drive fame, footfall & digital growth. In addition, the role will work as part of a project team on centralised multi-site promotions and campaigns across the Landsec portfolio. Working with the wider central marketing team the marketing manager role be instrumental in unlocking key consumer insight and delivering on core elements of the marketing plan, it will involve hands-on experience of campaigns and tactical events including strong local engagement of brands, cultural partners, BIDs councils and tourism affiliates. Salary: Competitive The Team: Reporting to the National Planning Manager, the role is working as one of a team of marketing managers within the consumer marketing team. Location: You will be required to be based on site 3 days a week where you will be embedded within the centre to maximise the opportunity of the day-to-day memorable moments and experiences through effective marketing. Implement agreed processes for asset level branding/creative (e.g. wayfinding, POS, void dressing), digital, PR, events and brand partner promotions What you will be responsible for: Marketing Strategy Delivery Support implementation of the marketing strategy across campaigns, promotions, events, PR, social media, and digital platforms to drive footfall and brand awareness. Content Creation & Coordination Collaborate with internal teams and creative agencies to develop engaging content—including local stories, real-time event coverage, and digital updates—for the website, social channels, and PLUS. Insight & Reporting Monitor consumer trends, catchment data, and performance metrics (e.g. NPS, brand awareness). Use insight to inform marketing strategy and contribute to regular reporting for central teams. Commercial Support Brief and support commercial bookings, brand experience activations and promotional events, ensuring marketing adds value and aligns with site priorities. Retail & Stakeholder Engagement Work with Retail Managers to source and publish occupier offers and promotions, build strong relationships with brand partners, and promote active participation in marketing initiatives. Partnership Building Proactively engage with local organisations (BIDs, councils, tourist boards, transport groups, community associations) to identify partnership opportunities that enhance visibility and community relevance. Website & Digital Oversight Maintain the site’s website and content calendars, ensuring listings and stories are up to date and reflective of the destination’s experience. PR & Communications Liaise with PR agencies to maximise exposure of site news, events and openings. Support bold campaign ideas and creative moments that stand out. Internal Collaboration & Meetings Represent marketing activity in operational meetings, sharing performance updates and insights to demonstrate impact on commercial KPIs.
