Welder Fabricator
Hemsworth | £16 per hour | Permanent | Rotating Shifts
We're recruiting a Welder Fabricator for a globally recognised company in Hemsworth that designs and builds custom staging, set pieces, and stage machinery for the live entertainment industry. You'll be fabricating and assembling bespoke structures and mechanical systems for major tours, concerts, and events worldwide - genuinely unique work in an impressive facility.
What you'll be doing:
MIG/TIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium (either MIG or TIG essential, both beneficial)
Fabricating custom structural frameworks, fascia structures, deck platforms, and mounting assemblies
Using cutting, rolling, and bending equipment to form components
Assembling mechanical systems including bearings, motors, gearboxes, pulleys, and linear rails
Fitting and aligning moving parts for stage machinery
Working from engineering drawings, schematics, and layout plans
Conducting quality checks to ensure work meets specifications and safety requirements
Maintaining an organised, safe work area
What you need:
Proven welding and fabrication experience (welding certifications)
MIG or TIG welding capability (both desirable)
Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with machine assembly
Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings
Competent with fabrication tools and machinery (saws, grinders, drills, press brakes, etc.)
Experience with hand tools and precision measuring equipment
Ability to work to deadlines and manage time efficiently

Rotating shifts: Week A 06:00-14:00, Week B 14:00-22:00
