Responsibilities
* Undertake mechanical repairs, maintenance tasks and minor installations of mechanical equipment.
* Perform planned maintenance activities and repairs on all mechanical equipment.
* Diagnose and repair simple and complex issues on various mechanical systems.
* Produce permit to work and risk assessments as required.
* Identify and action any faults and remedial works.
* Use handheld technology effectively to carry out all tasks.
* Assist other team members when required or as directed by the Operations Supervisor or Contract Manager.
* Ensure all tasks are completed within contractual time scales.
* Work with visiting sub‑contractors regarding standard of work and Health and Safety.
* All duties carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
* Complete all work‑related documentation accurately and on time.
* Forge and maintain excellent customer relations with on‑site clients at all times.
* Carry out work in a safe and diligent manner.
* Comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
* Attend and fully participate in training and appraisal activities as required.
* Undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required.
* Be available to carry out necessary works outside normal hours with additional remuneration.
* Participate in on‑call rota.
Person Specification
* Qualified to City & Guilds Level or equivalent in relevant disciplines to role.
Mechanical Experience – Working In Commercial Environments
* Experience of maintenance, testing and fault finding on a variety of equipment, including pumps and mechanical drive systems.
* Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices.
* Strong customer care focus.
* Good communication skills.
* Proactive.
* Able to anticipate and diagnose and repair faults.
* Capable of completing essential paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
