North Lincolnshire Council is recruiting a Curator Social History to join our innovative Museums team to drive forward our ambitions to make North Lincolnshire a leading area for arts and culture. This post is responsible for the day-to-day operational management and development of the North Lincolnshire Museums Social History collection. This includes creating exhibitions and interpretation at North Lincolnshire Museum and Normanby Hall Country Park. You must have a background of working in museums and with a collection, and experience of delivering projects and partnership working. You will have a professional specialism in a museum-related subject area and a professional qualification in a relevant subject. You will have excellent communication skills and good knowledge and experience of working with museum collections. You will be IT literate with experience of working with collections databases. You will be able to respond to collections enquiries and research requests. You will have experience of creating engagaing exhibitions in a museum environment. With the ability to undertake dynamic collecting to selectively increase and rationalise the collections in line with collections policies and strategies.
