GVR Solutions are currently representing a well-established and reputable main contractor based in Essex, seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. As a main contractor, they supply full modular turnkey services to the residential and accommodation sectors and work on new development projects up to £20m in project value.
Responsibilities
* Manage commercial reports and provide advice to the management team
* Assist in establishing a client’s requirements and undertake feasibility studies
* Ensure commercial targets are achieved, including project and programme cost, quality, and time
* Delegate work where necessary and liaise with the team on project progress
* Factor in health and safety regulations
* Manage the costs of the project, budgeting and cash flows
* Carry out measurement for valuations
* Analyse progress and reporting
* Identify opportunities and risks
* Attend post-tender and pre-contract meetings
* Prepare summary reports for the client and other stakeholders
Qualifications
* Detailed knowledge of Quantity Surveying, having worked for a main contractor or residential contractor
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
* Excellent analytical skills to make informed, balanced business decisions and reporting
* Self-sufficient
* Proven track record of delivering construction projects
* Excellent communication and oral skills
* Comfortable liaising with clients and senior management
