Fynn Valley is set in the Suffolk countryside on the outskirts of Ipswich. Along with providing a variety of food to our Members, we also cater for Weddings, Parties, Corporate Days, Christmas Parties, Celebrations of life and so much more. We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic, energetic and experienced Sous Chef who is looking for a new challenge and is ready to become an integral part of our experienced kitchen team.
Reporting to the Head Chef, you will have the following skills:
* A good understanding of using fresh, seasonal and where possible locally sourced produce.
* A Professional qualification is desirable but not essential, as long as matched with experience.
* Minimum of Level 2, Food Hygiene Certificate
* Ensure that the kitchen environment meets EHO Standards and expectations
* Understanding and awareness of the various allergens
* Ensure that stock is correctly managed, and wastage kept to a minimum
* Able to order and check in purchases
* Ability to work efficiently and accurately without supervision.
* Ability to ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standard presentation is key.
* Punctuality and the desire not to let the team down.
* Be able to fill in the Head Chef on days off/holiday
* Menu planning and supporting the Head Chef.
