Optimum Recruitment Group are proud to be working exclusively for an SME business based in Leeds who are looking to appoint a Finance Manager.
You must be qualified with good PQE and ideally some commercial finance experience.
You will be responsible for:
* Coaching and managing direct reports
* Being a proactive member of the Senior Management Team, providing advice, analysis and insight to the SMT, to achieve our growth plans and budgets.
* Manage the finance functionensuring all requirements are completed accurately and on time:
o the preparation and review ofmonthly management accounts
o update weekly production revenue plan and forecast.
o prepare annual budgets.
o responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of updatingfinancial records.
o providing accurate information for the processing of payroll and create templates to calculate commissions payments.
o ensure all suppliers are paid promptly.
o complete VAT and other company returns.
o preparation and review of statutory accounts.
* Contribute positively to improving the financial and operating performance of the company through:
o provision ofManagement information and finance KPIs, including creating client profitability reports and other ad hoc analysis.
o improving month end processes, reducing time spent by the team to create efficiencies.
o including identifying areas for cost savings.
* Liaise with auditors and advisers regardingstatutory compliance matters or other events.
The successful candidate will:
* 5+ years ACA / ACCA/ CIMA qualified
* Have excellent excel skills
* Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills
* Be personable and able to build strong candidate and colleague rapports
* Highly organised with the ability to multi-task
* Have akeen attention to detail
* Able to analyse and present data
* Have a positive attitude ready to work in a busy environment
