What You’ll Do
* Partner with the Senior Legal Counsel / Legal Director to deliver clear, pragmatic legal advice across strategic initiatives and business-as-usual activities.
* Support and collaborate with front-line project teams and central functions on a wide range of legal matters, enabling balanced risk-based decision-making.
* Manage legal workstreams independently or through external counsel, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.
* Drive process improvements by developing standard documentation and procedures for the legal function.
What We’re Looking For
* Qualified solicitor or barrister (England & Wales). This is essential.
* 2+ years PQE (more experienced candidates welcome). We are really interested in recruiting attitude not just PQE.
* Expertise in projects, infrastructure, or complex commercial transactions would be useful.
* Knowledge of public procurement, subsidy control and public law, would be good.
* Strong drafting and negotiation skills with the ability to handle diverse in-house matters.
* Confident communicator, adept at influencing stakeholders and prioritising in a dynamic environment.
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a “can-do” attitude and appetite for autonomy.
