Blake Architects are looking for a new senior architect to join our team in the beautiful rural setting of the Cotswolds. We are seeking an individual who shares our interest in rural architecture, sustainable design and high-quality detail.
You will have enthusiasm for realising and managing projects from concept to completion as part of our small team and be comfortable leading and nurturing others around you.
You will be experienced in contract administration and have a solid understanding of the legislative frameworks we operate within, including the role of Principal Designer and compliance with Building Regulations. You will be open-minded to join in team design discussions and be confident to suggest improvements to ensure we are continuously improving as a team in our design ambition, technical creativity and processes to deliver projects.
At Blake Architects you will get opportunities to run projects of various scales, from residential schemes for private clients to workplace and education schemes. Many of the projects we work on are conservation led and will involve listed buildings or adaptive reuse of barns and be in sensitive rural settings.
Candidates must be able to prove their right to work in the UK and have fluent written and spoken English.

We are a rural office based on the edge of a small village near Cirencester, Stroud and Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Therefore, access to a car is essential.
