UK Central Project Officer
Fixed term contract - Maternity leave cover
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Officer to work on crucial, regionally significant, regeneration, housing and infrastructure development projects, playing a central role in supporting the growth and economic recovery of the region.
This role will sit within the UK Central Programme Management Office which is responsible for delivering the Council’s Growth and Development Investment Programme. This programme consists of a wide variety of development, infrastructure and transport projects of varying scale and complexity – www.investinukcentral.com. This role will focus on the delivery of regeneration projects in North Solihull.
As Project Officer you will contribute to the development, planning, management and delivery of key work packages and defined projects within the Council’s UK Central Programme to ensure they are delivered to the required scope and quality, within budget and on time.
To be successful in the role you will already possess relevant experience of delivering or meaningfully contributing to the delivery of infrastructure and development projects. You will also have:
* a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject or be able to demonstrate knowledge through extended experience or training in project management.
* experience in project planning, risk and issue management and contract/consultant management.
* experience of analysis, reporting and presentation of performance and management information.
* experience of financial management to ensure project compliance, including identifying and contributing to bids for funding.
* ability to engage and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels and communicate complex/technical information to a variety of audiences.
