We are looking for a highly organised, experienced, self-motivated, reliable, efficient and proactive Warehouse Shift Manager to join our team.

The Role:

To deliver the strategic and tactical objectives of the warehouse and to meet its prevailing KPI's, policies and practices. Accountable for H&S, corporate audits and customer visits. Be fully compliant on all functions. Lead and deliver in the daily functions of the finished goods and raw materials warehouses including unloading and processing of raw materials for use in production and the loading of customer's orders, whilst adhering to company standards, systems and procedures. You will conduct coordination of warehouse teams for finished goods and raw material warehouses ensuring all deadlines are met, all administrative functions are completed while complying with company health & safety guidelines and corporate standards. Attend all relevant meetings and deputise in the absence of the Warehouse Manager.

A successful Warehouse Shift Manager will be in a position to develop into a Department Manager position through diligence, dedication, delivering in all areas of the department and commitment.

Key Responsibilities include:

* Ensuring that business processes are actioned, robust and sustainable.
* Analysis, tactical, execute the plan and make sure it's delivered. Walk arounds, t-cards, monitoring of staff, correcting of behaviour, coaching of staff, addressing staff issues
* To deputise for the Department Manager
* Managing vehicle movements on site with direct liaison with neighbours and stakeholders
* GMP corrective actions
* Managing team to book in and managing drivers arriving on site
* Managing raw material handling, unloading raw material deliveries and booking onto the ERP system
* Delivering picking of customers' orders, ensuring that all pallets are wrapped and labelled to the Newly Weds Foods (NWF) standards and loaded without damage
* Responsible for processing delivery paperwork
* Overseeing Material Handling from Production functions
* Ensuring warehouses are kept clean and tidy
* Liaising with Production and Food Safety and Quality departments
* Report any issues observed relating to Quality, Safety, Sanitation, Machinery or Throughput to your immediate Department Manager
* Ensure that all tasks are conducted safely, adhering to NWF Health & Safety Regulations working in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and to follow all company procedures. Report any Near Miss or Accidents to the Warehouse Manager
* Coordination of warehouse teams daily duties
* Liaising with QA to ensure goods are realised in time for despatch
* Daily completion of goods in and out schedules reporting any discrepancies to logistics and purchasing teams as appropriate
* Ensure all warehouse documentation is completed daily
* Warehouse cleaning schedules completed in a timely manner
* GMP standards to be met daily
* Forklift Truck fleet management including downtime reporting
* Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company's policies and procedures
* Adherer to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
* Manage storage capacities in line with daily business requirements
* Prioritise and maintain stock integrity keeping picking inaccuracies and damages to a minimum
* Drive productivity, monitor and set improvement targets in a fair and consistent manner
* Input staff hours daily and monitor time keeping, managing resource
* Coordination of onsite transfers
* Conduct investigations and chair hearings if required
* Toyota I Site management
* Zoning of new products to site
* Monitor and control stock on site including packaging
* Managing all training for team
* Overseeing racking and maintenance of it, always ensuring safety

Person Specification:

* Current Counterbalance & Reach licence essential
* Previous experience of working in a FMCG warehouse environment
* Proven experience of managing and leading a team
* Advanced computer skills and knowledge of Unity system
* Ability to work as part of a team as well individually
* Excellent data input and scheduling skills
* Outstanding attention to detail skills, being right first time
* Good communication skills with the ability to influence others at all levels
* Ability to adhere to company procedures and health and safety regulations, also implementing.

Additional Information:

This is role continental shift pattern 12-hour rotational shift (7am to 7pm). One week you will be working Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and the next week you would be working Wednesday and Thursday, and so on) however a degree of flexibility is required, depending on business need.

Pay: £41,090.00-£48,486.20 per year
