Location: Northallerton
Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Northallerton on a full-time maternity cover basis starting in September 2026.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, supporting pupils through their final year of primary school, and preparing them for SATs and transition into secondary education.
The role includes:
* Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
* Preparing pupils for SATs assessments
* Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
* Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback
* Working closely with staff, parents, and the wider school community
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching within KS2, ideally Year 6
* Strong classroom management skills
* A positive and committed approach to teaching and learning
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
