Head of Sales (MSP)
Lead the commercial direction and revenue growth of a fast-growing Managed Services provider.
Communicate is a fast-growing managed IT and connectivity provider, delivering secure network, cloud, and cybersecurity solutions to thousands of UK businesses. Following our acquisition of Blaze Networks, we are accelerating growth in Managed Services and now seeking a dynamic Head of Sales to lead, develop, and scale a high-performing MSP sales team.
Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, you’ll lead a high-performing sales organisation, drive significant revenue growth, and position Communicate as the trusted cloud and network partner for mid-market and enterprise customers.
About the Role
As Head of Sales, you’ll own the commercial strategy and performance across our Managed Services portfolio, spanning SD-WAN, SASE, connectivity, Managed IT support, and cloud-based services. You’ll develop scalable sales processes, drive new business growth, and expand existing customer relationships across mid-market and enterprise organisations.
You’ll work closely with Marketing, Product, and Service Delivery to ensure our secure networking and managed IT propositions clearly demonstrate business value, security outcomes, and operational resilience. This is a strategic and hands-on role, defining go-to-market plans, building a high-performing sales team, and driving revenue growth within a PE-backed environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Take ownership of commercial growth across our managed services portfolio including SD-WAN, SASE, managed IT support, cloud services, and enterprise connectivity.
* Develop and refine a clear, structured sales approach for new business with a focus on securing high-value mid-market and enterprise clients.
* Grow and protect existing accounts by working closely with Account Management and Customer Success to deliver well-planned cross-sell, upsell, and contract renewal activity.
* Lead, support, and develop a high-performing sales team, providing clear direction, coaching, and a strong performance culture.
* Strengthen key partnerships with vendors and network operators, including Fortinet, Cisco, Microsoft, Openreach, Virgin Media Business, and wider cloud and security partners.
What You Bring
* Proven experience (7+ years) in sales leadership within an MSP or network services provider.
* Track record of leading high-performing B2B sales teams and delivering multi-million-pound recurring revenue growth.
* Strong commercial understanding of SD-WAN, SASE, secure networking, and managed IT and cloud service models.
* Ability to shape and refine sales strategy, balancing new customer acquisition with account growth and retention.
* Confident working with senior stakeholders (e.g., CIO, COO, IT Director) and able to build credibility quickly.
* A collaborative approach, working closely with Marketing, Product, Service Delivery, and vendor partners to align positioning and execution.
* Professional presence and communication style, with the ability to represent the business confidently both internally and externally.
