We're looking for smart meter engineers with a track record of safety and customer excellence. You’ll be representing our brands in our customers’ homes, so you’ll need to be comfortable talking to customers and doing installations.
You’ll be fitting meters, showing customers how their meters and in-home displays work, and explaining how these can help save energy, while answering any questions about the green energy revolution we are leading.
As part of the Octopus Energy Services team, we’ll ensure you have everything needed to deliver top-class service. You’ll be supported by an office team sharing the same goals, working as one team. You’ll also benefit from Octopus Energy’s advanced technology, allowing us to continually improve processes, reducing admin time and increasing service quality.
What you'll need:
* MOCoPA - held within the last 2 years with evidence
* Gas Safe – CCN1/MET1 or CMA1/MET1 (or equivalent)
* Full UK driving license with no more than 6 points

* £36,500 starting salary

Call-out and Overtime:
* Rotating call-out schedule once every five weeks (Monday to Sunday), with a £250 retainer. Paid door-to-door when called out.
Saturday working:
* £50 for attending
* £70 for dual fuel installation
* £35 for single fuel installation
* Technical aborts paid at half rate

Salary range: £36,500 - £50,000 per year
You’ll start at £36,500, with potential earnings up to £50,000 including bonus and on-call pay.
