Overview

Salary: From £27,580 (13.60 Per Hr) PLUS additional £3,000-£6,000 per year for sleep-ins. Hours: Full-time, 39 hours per week on a rolling shift pattern, Long days 2 on 4 off with a sleep in. We are looking for a children's support worker to become part of our loving family home, caring for younger children aged 12 or under on admission, who have sometimes emotional and behavioural difficulties. You would be the person to give encouragement and praise when needed, to be patient and understanding during times of crisis and to inspire them to grow and develop. We want to create a safe haven where every child\'s potential shines bright, you\'ll be the beacon of hope, providing unwavering support to our young champions. We provide intense therapeutic support for a minimum of 6 months to help integrate the children into foster care or back into their home. The role can be challenging BUT highly rewarding and you could change a child\'s life for the better.

What you need

* We want people who are naturally caring, flexible and resilient.
* Passionate about supporting children to lead happy lives.
* Great communication skills, positive and energetic.
* Experience in care or transferable skills (e.g., children\'s nursery, education, sports, or working with vulnerable people) is beneficial but not essential.
* Ability to remain calm during challenging situations.
* Full UK Driving licence is highly beneficial.
* You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children, including shifts and sleep-ins.
