Mine Water Treatment Lead role at WSP in the UK & Ireland
This role is a critical leadership position within WSP’s UK and Ireland mining business, responsible for building and developing a client-focused mine water treatment team. The UK and Ireland mine water business is globally connected to other regions, with significant integration expected with other regional teams.
The role supports our client-focused water stewardship initiative, helping clients achieve water intensity and efficiency targets and sustainability objectives, and involves developing strong client relationships and delivering purposeful solutions.
WSP’s Mining Team is a fully integrated, multidisciplinary and global team that works with a diverse client base across the mining lifecycle and commodities, with a focus on Water Stewardship to support ESG and Net Zero objectives.
Responsibilities
* This role leads and develops the mine water treatment team, with integration across WSP regions as needed.
* Strategic development of our client-focused water stewardship initiative to support clients in achieving water targets and sustainability objectives.
* Develop and maintain effective client relationships and provide solutions to client challenges within the mining water sector.
Our Mine Water team collaborates across disciplines to service projects from development through closure and reclamation, leveraging global networks and teams.
What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate
* A minimum Bachelor level qualification in process or chemical engineering.
* Masters or PhD level qualification in Engineering Management.
* Proven track record in building, developing, and leading Mine Water Treatment teams with strong employee retention and substantial professional experience.
* Experience in client relationship management and business development with the ability to source projects.
* Demonstrated leadership in HSSE through policy implementation and improving Health and Safety culture.
* Experience across various jurisdictions globally.
