Community Links & Inclusion Worker

Doncaster

Full-Time | 39 Hours Per Week | 9:00am – 5:00pm

We’re looking for a passionate and proactive Community Links & Inclusion Worker to join our Mental Health Floating Support (MHFS) team. This is an exciting opportunity to design and deliver community-based support that empowers individuals to improve their mental wellbeing, sustain tenancies, and build meaningful social connections. You’ll play a key role in creating inclusive spaces through drop‑ins, group sessions, and peer support initiatives—helping people access the right support at the right time.


About the Role

In this dynamic, community-focused role, you will:

* Deliver engaging drop‑ins, group sessions, and skills workshops across Doncaster
* Provide brief interventions, advice, and signposting to individuals with mental health and housing‑related support needs
* Build strong partnerships with local organisations and community venues
* Develop and facilitate peer support networks and activities
* Support individuals to improve confidence, wellbeing, and independent living skills
* Contribute to reducing repeat referrals by offering timely, low‑level support
* Work both independently and collaboratively as part of a supportive team, helping to shape and enhance our service offer


Key Responsibilities

* Establish and deliver services across community locations in Doncaster
* Collaborate with stakeholders to promote and expand service reach
* Provide telephone support and one‑off interventions
* Recruit and support volunteers and peer mentorsLead co‑production activities, incorporating lived experience into service design
* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safeguarding and organisational policies
* Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of your work


About You

* Knowledgeable about mental health, housing, and welfare systems
* Experienced in supporting vulnerable adults or supported living environments
* Skilled in building relationships with partners, professionals, and service users
* Confident delivering group work and community-based interventions
* Compassionate, non‑judgemental, and committed to empowering others


Essential Knowledge Includes

* Mental Health, Mental Capacity, and Care Act legislation
* Housing legislation and Duty to Refer
* Safeguarding and supporting vulnerable adults
* Working alongside local authorities and health/social care professionals

Additional Information

* Enhanced DBS check required
