We're looking for a Caretaker to join our Meadowhead Secondary School team based in Sheffield.
Location: Sheffield - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.
Hours: 40 hours per week (08:00-17:00) - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Join our friendly facilities management team at Meadowhead Secondary School where you'll play a vital role in maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for students and staff. This rewarding position offers variety, independence and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the school community.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Mobile Caretaker, you'll be working within the Facilities Management team, supporting them in maintaining high-quality standards throughout the school premises. Your day to day will include:
* Carrying out building inspections and remedial maintenance tasks to ensure premises are safe and well-maintained
* Supporting room set-up for meetings and events, including furniture movement as needed
* Liaising with the Facilities Coordinator regarding work progress and contractor management
* Performing regular safety checks including fire alarm testing and water temperature monitoring
* Providing holiday and sickness cover for caretaking and cleaning staff as required
What are we looking for?
This role of Caretaker is great for you if:
* You have previous experience in caretaking or handyperson roles
* You're physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks
* You have a pleasant, patient approach and enjoy providing excellent customer service
* You communicate effectively and build positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
* You're reliable, safety-conscious and happy to participate in an on-call rota (1 week in 3)
