The Opportunity
Stantec is actively involved in designing and managing major projects, primarily for water industry clients. Recently, we were awarded the Yorkshire Water’s Storm Overflow Alliance project, which involves modelling and designing wetlands, storage, and screening solutions. We are trusted to deliver major projects across the UK, creating opportunities for experienced project managers with a background in managing design projects. The role can be based in any of our northern offices, including Leeds, Manchester, Warrington, or Newcastle, with hybrid working options. Regular travel to Leeds would be required if based elsewhere.
Role Overview
As a Project Manager, you will oversee the successful delivery of major projects, working with technical teams, clients, and operational management to ensure the delivery of design services within a multidisciplinary environment. You will collaborate with leading design teams and partner organizations to achieve project goals, fostering a positive environment and leading your team to deliver value and excellent client service.

About You
You should have experience leading major projects in consultancy or contracting roles, preferably as a Project Manager, Design Manager, Project Engineer, or Project Leader. A technical background in engineering, construction management, environmental sciences, or related fields is preferred. Qualifications in engineering or project management, with a solid understanding of large-scale construction projects and NEC contracts, are essential. You should have a proven track record of building trusted relationships with clients and mentoring less experienced team members, always supporting our values of putting people and clients first.

* Managing NEC Contracts and adhering to contractual responsibilities
