The *Quality Control Inspector* is a key team member responsible for ensuring that products meet internal quality standards as well as customer, regulatory, and statutory requirements. This role involves detailed inspections of in-process and finished components/assemblies and close collaboration with various departments to ensure the delivery of high-quality, conforming products.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Inspect components and assemblies for conformity to technical drawings, 3D models, and specifications.
* Program and operate CNC Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to perform precision inspections.
* Utilize a wide range of measuring tools and inspection equipment to conduct quality checks.
* Perform 1st-off, in-process, and final product inspections.
* Conduct patrol inspections throughout production processes to ensure ongoing compliance.
* Prepare and maintain essential quality documentation, including Manufacturing Control Plans and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
* Calibrate and maintain metrology and inspection equipment.
* Inspect incoming goods and associated documentation for compliance with requirements.
*Qualifications*
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality control or a related technical field.
* Strong understanding of quality documentation and control procedures.
* Familiarity with quality standards such as EN9100 or similar.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experienced in using Quality Management Systems (QMS).
*Preferred Skills*
* Previous experience in regulated industries (e.g., aerospace, automotive, medical devices).
* Skilled in programming and operating CMMs.
* Solid knowledge of measurement tools, calibration practices, and machining processes.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with a working knowledge of GD&T.
* Understanding of industry-specific and customer-driven quality and process requirements.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
