Tool Room Machinist/Fitter - Burton - £17.95 per hour

The Best Connection Employment Group is currently seeking a Tool Room Machinist/Fitter for a permanent role for our client based in Burton.

The successful candidate will have been in the industry previously, with excellent attention to detail and to join their family.

Our client is open to Part Time applications as well, to be discussed.

Hours of Work:

• Monday To Thursday: 07:30 - 16:000
• Fridays: 07:30 - 13:00

Pay Rate:

• £17.95 per hour PAYE
• Pay rate increasing to £40,000 PA after 12 months service - based on performance.

Responsibilities of the Tool Room Machinist/Fitter:

• You will be working from technical drawings to manufacture parts for a wide range of machinery and equipment. Manufacturing equipment used across a multitude of sectors.
• Problem solving, this role is varied, you must have a mind set to tackle challenges and overcome them.
• Fault finding, using your engineering background and technical mindset.
• Experienced in manual machining (turning, milling, grinding), able to use manual lathes and millers.
• Installing - there may be situations where you are required to attend customer sites to assist the mechanical team with fitting and repair work.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in the Engineering industry is essential, specifically as a Machinist/Fitter.
• Ability to read and work from schematics and technical drawings.
• Team and lone work within an engineering and technical team.
• Hardworking, professional, self-motivated.
• Excellent time keeping, working to schedules.
• CNC milling machine & welding/Fabrication experience.
• Ability to use able to use manual lathes and millers.
