Based in the South and South-West of England, Our Client is an AM Top 50 automotive retailer covering 20 brands across 54 franchises. We are currently on the lookout for anMOT Testerto join our established team in Portsmouth
As a MOT Tester, you will be based in our workshop and be responsible for carrying out all required MOTs as per Ministry of Transport directives whilst maintaining the high quality of work our customers expect and ensuring maximise workshop utilisation and productivity.
Your day will include:
1. Undertaking Class IV MOT tests to the government standards ensuring quality inspections controls are carried out.
2. Communicating with the Service Reception team and Workshop on test results and additional work necessary.
3. Working in accordance with brand and dealership processes.
4. Ensuring that the working environment is kept clean and devoid of any working practice which may be hazardous.
5. Liaising with customers where appropriate updating them on the status of their vehicle checks.
Have you got what it takes?
6. Hold the relevant MOT Tester qualification.
7. Relevant City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ accreditation
8. Previous work experience in a franchise dealership
9. Ability to work as part of a team.
10. Commitment to delivering first class customer service.
11. Able to plan, organise self and meet agreed work deadlines.

Hours of work:
Monday to Friday 0830 – 1700 (with 30 mins for lunch)
Saturday 0800 – 1300 (rota)
Salary
£28,500 basic, plus competitive, uncapped bonus scheme.
