Stepping into the engineering department as Director of Engineering, you will lead a team of engineers to craft innovative solutions that deliver a fun, friendly, and fair player experience. You will author a roadmap of features and technical innovations to rise above category competition, collaborating with business stakeholders and product leadership to drive growth that translates to business success.

What Youll Do:
* Collaborate to establish, champion and refine priorities, monitor delivery status, and shape a forward-looking roadmap balancing technical innovation with feature development that supports long-term goals and competitive positioning.
* Engage with leadership and stakeholders to identify strategic opportunities for engineering enhancement and create actionable improvement plans that drive efficiency, scalability and value across teams.
* Provide stakeholders with real-time project status updates to enable informed decision-making and alignment with business priorities.
* Analyze trade-offs of approaches, make strategic choices, and present buy-in for impactful implementation.
* Mentor and empower casino area teams to achieve reliable, high-quality outputs with increasing autonomy and delivery excellence.
* Design and implement scalable processes that enable efficient operations and continuous delivery improvements, minimizing rework and supporting long-term growth.
* Define clear, impactful delivery goals for direct reports and the team, align with business objectives, and hold team members accountable to achieve them.
* Stay attuned to industry developments and competitor innovations to maintain a competitive edge and anticipate emerging trends in the casino technology landscape.
People Management & Development
* Ensure formal performance reviews focus on growth and provide actionable feedback aligned with team and organizational priorities.
* Translate company OKRs into area objectives, creating alignment with broader business goals and transparent connections between area contributions and company impact.
* Identify measurable key results that advance the area toward critical OKRs, ensuring momentum and alignment.
* Maintain consistent communication within the area regarding OKR progress and share insights on company performance and initiatives.
* Regularly update the organization on major accomplishments and recognize significant contributions to foster a culture of shared success.
* Inspire growth by supporting career development and providing opportunities aligned with strategic goals.
Engineering Leadership
* Champion a Comprehensive Improvement Framework including:
o Define core challenges and prioritize strategic attention.
o Generate targeted solutions aligned with long-term goals and root-cause addressal.
o Drive implementation roadmaps and execute detailed action plans.
o Establish transparent progress visibility to keep stakeholders informed.
o Measure and report impact with data-driven analysis.
* Implement identified solutions and conduct impact analyses to refine improvement approaches.
Technical Environment
* Development Practices: TDD, pair programming, code reviews, CI/CD
* Deployment: Automated using Terraform/GitHub Actions on AWS
* Technologies Used: API gateways (API Gateway, CloudFront, WAF), serverless (Lambda), storage and database (Aurora, S3), messaging (SNS, SQS), Kafka
What Youll Bring
* 7+ years in a management role within software delivery, overseeing complex, high-impact projects with focus on timely, quality-driven execution
* Advanced understanding of software engineering principles, SDLC, and delivery-management tools for performance tracking and process optimization across diverse teams
* Extensive experience in casino gaming with understanding of customer expectations and industry standards
* Ability to engage in high-level technical discussions and align with strategic goals
* Strong analytical skills to address complex issues, make data-driven decisions, and drive continuous improvement
* Proven ability to communicate strategic ideas and influence stakeholders
* Attention to detail and ability to stay productive in fast-paced environments
* Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering results on time
* Skill in translating business requirements into actionable delivery plans and aligning with strategy
* Ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences and foster open communication
* Mentoring and coaching experience to develop high-performance teams
* Spanish language is an asset but not mandatory

Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range: $174,300 - $245,000 USD
