Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) – Complex Needs & 1:1 Support
Location: Littlehampton
Salary: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term

GSL Education are currently recruiting for a full-time, long-term SEN Teaching Assistant to join a caring and inclusive school in Littlehampton from September. This role focuses on providing 1:1 support to a pupil with Special Educational Needs, helping them access learning and navigate daily routines with confidence.
About the Role:
As an Special Educational Needs TA, you'll work closely with a specific pupil to deliver consistent, personalised support—both in and out of the classroom. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is patient, adaptable, and truly dedicated to inclusive education.
Responsibilities:
* Offer tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with complex learning or medical needs.
* Assist with academic tasks, communication, and emotional regulation.
* Support the pupil’s personal care and mobility needs, if required.
* Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support team.
* Help create a calm, nurturing environment that promotes progress and independence.
Requirements for SEN TA:
* Experience supporting children with complex needs or disabilities in a school or care setting.
* A kind, patient, and proactive approach to learning support.
* Confidence working 1:1, including with personal care if needed.
* A full CV covering the last 10 years (with explanations for any gaps).
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
