We are looking for an Opposition Analyst to join the team who will be responsible for the video and data preview of the upcoming opposition, highlighting key trends to ensure our staff and playing squad are as prepared as possible. Utilising an evidence-based approach, you will use provided in‑house opposition data packs to supplement any video trends found.
Responsibilities
* Present both video and data findings to the Head Coach and technical staff to allow game strategy preparation and assist relevant technical staff in the selection of video which will be delivered in team meetings.
* Play a key role on matchdays by utilising coding (alongside the performance analyst) and communicating with coaches in-game to help advise any potential changes to game strategy, as well as provide and select relevant video clips with coaching staff to be delivered at half‑time.
Qualifications
* Hold a BSc (Hons) in Performance Analysis, Sport Science (or a related degree).
* Have previous experience working in a performance analysis capacity at a professional football club.
* Ability to contextualise observations and available data to make accurate assessments.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills – clear, concise and accurate.
* IT literate and experience of using analysis systems such as Hudl, Sportscode (or similar software).
* Hold a full UK driving licence and be able to work flexibly (evenings, weekends and matchdays) in line with the team schedule.
